Teachers who have trained their students to think that history is an assortment of facts which make up a story and textbooks are infallible will not like these books; however, those who really want their students to interpret history and learn that there is a lot of information left out of the textbooks will find these books to be ideal. . . . I applaud the author’s selection of relevant topics, the excellent research behind each topic and the sequential development of critical thinking skills.
